Teen Patti with Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley

Amitabh Bachchan has roles in two up coming films: Rann and Teen Patti.  Rann is about a media mogul and will be discussed in another post.

Teen Patti is a story about two mathematicians who meet in London.

Venkat tells Perci about an equation that could not only change the dialogue on mathematics forever, but one that has already left an indelible impression of guilt - for many painful reasons - on Venkat’s life. As it turns out, the reclusive genius Venkat has cracked a theory that could redefine the principles of probability and randomness.

Ben Kingsley also plays a crucial role in the movie.  Ben Kingsley is the mathematician that Amitabh meets in London, and from which the story ensues.

Google announced in India on January 20, 2010 that it had secured the deal.  YouTube will stream all 60 IPL matches in the Twenty20 Tournament.  They’re setup a dedicated channel and have gained exclusive rights for two years.  Lalit Modi, Indian Premier League Chairman and Commissioner, was on hand at a press conference to announce the partnership.

There will be 20 different user-selectable camera feeds, like stumpcam and a view from behind the bowler. Google says it will also add non-live videos including highlights, interviews, pitch-side reports - “an alternative view of the match not available on television or any other media”. And it will use its social network Orkut to host an IPL-branded community supporting live chats with players and team owners, plus competitions and match polls.
